Fabspeed's Cat Bypass Pipe with Downpipe for the 718 Boxster and Cayman (Base/S Worldwide 2017+, GTS 2017-2020) is a direct bolt-on replacement for the factory catalytic converter and downpipe, using mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel 3-inch tubing that splits to 2-inch for maximum flow while keeping proper exhaust gas velocity. Expect a significant jump in volume, with cracks and burbles on deceleration, especially in Sport mode, plus a stronger turbo spool sound that can be pushed further with Fabspeed's Maxflo exhaust. Fabspeed estimates 25whp on its own, with more available paired with a Fabspeed ECU tune. Because it removes the catalytic converters, this product is intended for closed track and off-road use only, not for public roads, and requires signing Fabspeed's Vehicle Compliance Waiver before purchase.

Frequently asked

Which cars does the Competition Link Downpipe fit?

Fits your 718 Boxster. Fabspeed lists this piece for: all Porsche 718 Boxster/Cayman Base/S Models Worldwide 2017+ and GTS Models 2017-2020; Porsche Boxster. Exact fitment for your year, trim and options is confirmed on your free consult before anything is ordered.

What does the price include?

The delivered price includes the part from Fabspeed USA, freight to Australia, import costs and GST. Enter your postcode to refine delivery; the final figure is confirmed on consult.

How long until it arrives?

Every Fabspeed part is made in-house at Fabspeed USA with about a one-week production lead time, then allow another 3-4 days for delivery to Australia via UPS. That freight is already included in the price.

Is this legal for street use?

No, it removes the catalytic converters, so Fabspeed designates it for closed track and off-road use only and requires signing a Vehicle Compliance Waiver before purchase.

How much power does it add?

Fabspeed estimates around 25whp, with more available when paired with a Fabspeed ECU tune.

What tip finishes are available?

Hand-made single-wall stainless steel tips or premium matte carbon fibre shrouded tips.

Will it trigger a check engine light?

It can, since the catalytic converters are removed; optional O2 spacers are available that may help reduce it.

Who installs it?

Rennen Motorsport in Adelaide, or an authorised dealer near you. Fitting it yourself may also be an option depending on the part, so raise it on your consult; professional installation is quoted separately.

Is it covered by warranty?

Fabspeed products carry the manufacturer's warranty, supported locally through Rennen Plus as the Australian principal. See our returns policy.

Can I just buy this outright, or do I need to talk to someone first?

Every enquiry, whether it's one part or a full build, starts with a free consult. We confirm the exact spec for your car before anything is quoted or ordered.
