Privacy policy.

Rennen Plus, a division of Rennen Motorsport, operates this website to help you find the right performance package for your car and connect you with our dealer network. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use and disclose your personal information when you use the site or otherwise communicate with us. We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Personal information we collect
When we say personal information, we mean information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you. This site has no user accounts and no checkout, so what we collect is limited to what you choose to give us and the standard technical information any website receives:
- Contact details when you call, email, book a consultation or message us: your name, phone number, email address, and details about your car and what you want to do with it.
- Newsletter details if you subscribe: your email address.
- Dealer registration detailsif you apply to join our dealer network. The registration form is hosted by Google Forms and is also subject to Google’s privacy policy.
- Assistant conversations if you use the site assistant: what you type and what it answers. Please do not type anything sensitive into it.
- Device information received automatically by our hosting provider when you load the site, including your IP address and browser type, kept in standard server logs.
How we use your personal information
We use the information above to respond to your enquiry, prepare quotes, arrange consultations and installations, send the newsletter you asked for, assess dealer applications, and keep the site secure. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising without your consent. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email we send.
Location data
The dealer finder offers a “use my location” button. If you allow it, your browser shares your position with the page so it can sort dealers by distance. That calculation happens entirely in your browser: your coordinates are never sent to our servers, never stored, and are discarded when you leave the page. You can decline the permission and search by postcode or town instead.
Cookies and local storage
We may use advertising and analytics pixels, including a Meta Pixel, to measure how our marketing is performing and to show you relevant ads on other sites. Separately, the site stores one small flag in your browser’s session storage to remember that you have already seen the loading animation; it is deleted when you close the tab.
The site assistant
The chat assistant on this site is powered by AI. Your messages are sent to an AI provider to generate a reply, and the conversation is recorded in our website’s server logs so we can see what people are asking and improve the answers. We use those records only to improve the assistant and to follow up if you have asked us to. Nothing else is attached to them: no advertising identifiers, and nothing that links one conversation to another. Your conversation is also kept in your browser’s session storage so it survives moving between pages, and is cleared when you close the tab.
We use more than one AI provider, so that the assistant keeps working if one is unavailable. Your message goes to whichever is answering at the time. These are the providers we use, each with its own terms:
- Mistral AI — mistral.ai/terms
- Google (Gemini API) — ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms
- NVIDIA — nvidia.com/privacy-policy
- OpenRouter — openrouter.ai/privacy
- Hugging Face — huggingface.co/privacy
Some of these providers run us on their free plans, and on a free plan a provider may use the conversation to improve their own AI models, including review by their staff. We choose the order they are tried with that in mind, but we cannot control what each provider does under its own terms, which is why they are linked above. For that reason, please do not type payment details, passwords, or anything else sensitive into the assistant. If you would rather not use it at all, everything the assistant can tell you is on the site, and you are always welcome to call or email us instead.
How we disclose personal information
We disclose personal information only where it is needed to provide what you asked for, and only to:
- Our dealer network, when you ask us to arrange work through a dealer near you.
- Service providers that run the site for us. Hosting is provided by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs. Map tiles for the dealer map are served by Esri and CARTO, or by Google when a Google Maps key is in use, and whichever it is receives the standard technical information your browser sends when it loads them.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
Some of these providers store information outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure any overseas recipient handles your personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Third-party websites and links
The site links out to Fabspeed, TechArt, our dealers, Instagram and Facebook. Those sites are governed by their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
Children
The site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold, but no transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, so please avoid sending sensitive information through unsecured channels. We keep personal information only as long as we need it to respond to you, provide our services, meet our legal obligations or resolve disputes, and we delete or de-identify it after that.
Your rights and choices
You can ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also opt out of marketing communications at any time. To make any of these requests, contact us at info@rennenplus.com.au or +61 422 731 725, or write to us at 20-22 Commercial Street, Marleston SA 5033, Australia. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Complaints
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your personal information or your request, tell us and we will look into it. If you are still not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal and operational reasons. The current version will always be published on this page.
