GiroDisc brake rotors for the Porsche 981 Cayman and Boxster with OEM iron rotors, a lighter direct replacement for the factory disc. The cast iron disc is poured and machined in-house at GiroDisc in the USA, with a curved vane design that acts as a centrifugal pump to draw cooling air through the rotor. A floating hat and disc assembly, secured with 10 cadmium-plated alloy steel drive pins and anti-noise spring washers, lets the disc self-centre and expand with heat without rattling. The hat is machined from U.S.-sourced 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum. Because it's a direct swap rather than a big brake kit, factory brake bias and ABS calibration are unaffected. Sold and priced in pairs; choose front or rear to match what you're replacing.
