IPD Competition Plenum Package

This IPD package pairs a dimpled aluminium intake plenum with an 82mm throttle body and a custom silicone Y-pipe, letting the GT4 draw from both driver and passenger air intakes instead of the driver's side only. Fabspeed measured 17 horsepower and 11 ft-lbs of torque at the wheels, building from around 4,000 rpm through to redline. About half of installs will need a throttle body adaptation, which can only be performed with a factory Porsche PIWIS computer - any resulting check engine light simply reflects the extra air the plenum is now flowing and doesn't affect reliability. A handheld tuner can be added at checkout for owners who want to address that adaptation themselves or extract further gains from the ECU.
Frequently asked
Does the IPD Competition Plenum Package fit my Cayman GT4?
This listing is specific to the Porsche Cayman GT4 (981). Exact fitment for your year, trim and options is confirmed on your free consult before anything is ordered.
What does the price include?
The delivered price includes the part from Fabspeed USA, freight to Australia, import costs and GST. Enter your postcode to refine delivery; the final figure is confirmed on consult.
How long until it arrives?
Every Fabspeed part is made in-house at Fabspeed USA with about a one-week production lead time, then allow another 3-4 days for delivery to Australia via UPS. That freight is already included in the price.
What's included in the package?
The IPD Plenum, an 82mm throttle body, and a silicone Y-pipe.
Will this trigger a check engine light?
About half of 997.2/981/991 applications need a throttle body adaptation afterward, and some may still see a check engine light related to the ECU reading higher airflow - this doesn't affect performance or reliability.
What power does the package add?
Fabspeed measured 17 horsepower and 11 ft-lbs of torque at the wheels, with gains building from around 4,000 rpm through to redline.
Which option should I choose?
The handheld tuner add-on is worth it if you want to manage the throttle body adaptation and any resulting ECU tables yourself rather than relying solely on a dealership PIWIS visit, or if you plan to have a tuner further optimise the ECU for this plenum down the track.
Who installs it?
Rennen Motorsport in Adelaide, or an authorised dealer near you. Fitting it yourself may also be an option depending on the part, so raise it on your consult; professional installation is quoted separately.
Is it covered by warranty?
Fabspeed products carry the manufacturer's warranty, supported locally through Rennen Plus as the Australian principal. See our returns policy.
Can I just buy this outright, or do I need to talk to someone first?
Every enquiry, whether it's one part or a full build, starts with a free consult. We confirm the exact spec for your car before anything is quoted or ordered.
