Ignition Coil Heat Shield
An ignition coil heat shield for Porsche 981, 987 and 987.2 Boxster/Cayman models fitted with Fabspeed headers, also compatible with most other manufacturers' aftermarket headers. It protects the ignition coil packs and wires from the radiant heat these cars' headers produce, heat that Fabspeed has seen cause coil failures on cars driven hard on track. Manufactured in-house from T304L stainless steel and precision cut on Fabspeed's waterjet, it's a simple DIY bolt-on installed with a 5mm and 4mm hex key. It doesn't fit with OEM headers, and needs to go on before the headers themselves are installed. Rennen Motorsport or an authorised dealer can also fit it, for owners who'd rather not do it themselves.
