Bolt-on dual-tip A crossover pipe joining the two exhaust banks into an X shape, smoothing flow for a fuller, balanced tone. tips for the Porsche 987.2 Boxster/Cayman/Cayman R/Spyder, replacing the factory H-pipe or T-outlet tips. Fabspeed says the factory Porsche design sends exhaust pulses from each side of the muffler straight into each other before forcing them through a harsh 90-degree turn to the tips; its true X-pipe design instead lets the gases cross and exit smoothly, improving flow, power, and exhaust note. It's a DIY installation needing only a 15mm and 13mm socket, with 4-inch dual tips available in polished stainless, black ceramic coating, matte carbon fiber, or brushed stainless steel finishes. Fits all Porsche 987.2 Boxster/Cayman/Cayman R/Spyder vehicles worldwide from 2009 to 2012. Rennen Motorsport or an authorised dealer can handle the fit too, for owners who'd rather leave it to a professional.

Frequently asked

Does the Maxflo True X-Pipe with Dual Tips fit my Boxster?

This listing is specific to the Porsche Boxster (987.2). Exact fitment for your year, trim and options is confirmed on your free consult before anything is ordered.

What does the price include?

The delivered price includes the part from Fabspeed USA, freight to Australia, import costs and GST. Enter your postcode to refine delivery; the final figure is confirmed on consult.

How long until it arrives?

Every Fabspeed part is made in-house at Fabspeed USA with about a one-week production lead time, then allow another 3-4 days for delivery to Australia via UPS. That freight is already included in the price.

How is this different from a regular X-pipe?

Fabspeed calls this a true X-pipe design, letting exhaust gases cross and exit smoothly rather than slamming into each other and turning sharply the way the factory tip design does.

What tools do I need to install it?

Just a 15mm and 13mm socket for a simple bolt-on job.

Who installs it?

Rennen Motorsport in Adelaide, or an authorised dealer near you. Fitting it yourself may also be an option depending on the part, so raise it on your consult; professional installation is quoted separately.

Is it covered by warranty?

Fabspeed products carry the manufacturer's warranty, supported locally through Rennen Plus as the Australian principal. See our returns policy.

Can I just buy this outright, or do I need to talk to someone first?

Every enquiry, whether it's one part or a full build, starts with a free consult. We confirm the exact spec for your car before anything is quoted or ordered.
