IPD Plenum & Y-Pipe Upgrades
IPD's Plenum and Y-pipe upgrade the 991.2 Turbo's largely unchanged factory intake system, which Porsche left mostly alone despite revising the intake ports, injectors, fuel pump, turbo compressor wheels and intercoolers elsewhere in the engine. The Y-pipe uses a A non-circular tube shape with a dimpled interior, used instead of a plain round tube dimpled interior for smoother, faster airflow than the factory tube, and the aluminum plenum resists the heat soak that affects the factory plastic unit. Both parts bolt on with no ECU flash and won't trigger a check engine light, though the 991.2 Turbo needs a short adaptation period of hard driving after install.
