Bischoff (1994 to mid-1995) and Gillet (1996 on) outlet flanges are available to match year, and the factory catalytic converters stay in place, so emissions are unaffected.

No, Fabspeed says emissions aren't affected because the OEM catalytic converters stay in place, unaffected, downstream of these headers.
How do I know which flange style I need?
Fabspeed splits it by build date: 1994 to mid-1995 cars use the Bischoff flange, triangular with a flat bottom and 3 bolts, while 1996 to 1997/98 cars use the Gillet flange, which is round with 3 bolts.
Which option should I choose?
