IPD's aluminium intake plenum for the Porsche 996 Turbo, available as the standard 68mm-throttle-body version for stock and moderately modified cars under roughly 700 horsepower, or the Competition version built around the larger 74mm throttle body (sold separately) for cars pushing over 600 horsepower. Both deliver a claimed 30-35 horsepower gain over stock with no ECU flash needed, immediate throughout the mid-range and top end. Installation is challenging and Fabspeed recommends a seasoned Porsche technician handle it. Being cast aluminium rather than the factory plastic, it resists heat soak and won't crack under high boost.

Frequently asked

Does the IPD Intake Plenum fit my 911 Turbo?

This listing is specific to the Porsche 911 Turbo (996). Exact fitment for your year, trim and options is confirmed on your free consult before anything is ordered.

What does the price include?

The delivered price includes the part from Fabspeed USA, freight to Australia, import costs and GST. Enter your postcode to refine delivery; the final figure is confirmed on consult.

How long until it arrives?

Every Fabspeed part is made in-house at Fabspeed USA with about a one-week production lead time, then allow another 3-4 days for delivery to Australia via UPS. That freight is already included in the price.

What's the difference between the two configurations?

The Plenum Only version keeps the factory 68mm throttle body; the Competition version is machined for the larger 74mm throttle body, which must be purchased separately.

Do I need to buy a throttle body separately?

Only for the Competition configuration; the standard 68mm version uses your factory throttle body.

Which option should I choose?

Plenum Only keeps your factory 68mm throttle body and costs less; the Competition configuration is machined for the larger 74mm throttle body, which is a separate purchase, and is aimed at more heavily modified cars.

Who installs it?

Rennen Motorsport in Adelaide, or an authorised dealer near you. Fitting it yourself may also be an option depending on the part, so raise it on your consult; professional installation is quoted separately.

Is it covered by warranty?

Fabspeed products carry the manufacturer's warranty, supported locally through Rennen Plus as the Australian principal. See our returns policy.

Can I just buy this outright, or do I need to talk to someone first?

Every enquiry, whether it's one part or a full build, starts with a free consult. We confirm the exact spec for your car before anything is quoted or ordered.
