Frequently asked

Which cars does the XperTune Performance Software fit?

Fits your Audi R8 V10 (Typ 4S, 2016-2023). Fabspeed lists this piece for: Audi R8 V10 (2019-2020); Audi R8 V10 (2021+). Exact fitment for your year, trim and options is confirmed on your free consult before anything is ordered.

What does the price include?

The delivered price includes the part from Fabspeed USA, freight to Australia, import costs and GST. Enter your postcode to refine delivery; the final figure is confirmed on consult.

How long until it arrives?

Every Fabspeed part is made in-house at Fabspeed USA with about a one-week production lead time, then allow another 3-4 days for delivery to Australia via UPS. That freight is already included in the price.

Does the R8 need to be taken apart for this tune?

No. The handheld tuner interfaces with the car's OBD-II port, so there's no need to remove or bench-flash the ECU.

What's the power gain?

On a stock R8 V10 Plus, Fabspeed's dyno testing recorded 46 whp and 41 lb-ft of extra torque; the non-Plus V10 saw up to 75 whp and 49 lb-ft on its own.

Can I still return the car to stock?

Yes. The handheld keeps a copy of your factory tune on file, so you can reflash back to stock at any time.

Does the process differ by model year?

2021 and newer R8s need extra decryption during tuning, which can add 24 to 48 hours to turnaround compared with 2019-2020 cars.

Which option should I choose?

Choose the model year that matches your R8: 2019-2020 cars use Fabspeed's standard tuning file, while 2021 and newer cars require additional ECU decryption that can add 24 to 48 hours to turnaround. Both years use the same handheld OBD-II tuner and delivery process.

Who installs it?

Rennen Motorsport in Adelaide, or an authorised dealer near you. Fitting it yourself may also be an option depending on the part, so raise it on your consult; professional installation is quoted separately.

Is it covered by warranty?

Fabspeed products carry the manufacturer's warranty, supported locally through Rennen Plus as the Australian principal. See our returns policy.

Can I just buy this outright, or do I need to talk to someone first?

Every enquiry, whether it's one part or a full build, starts with a free consult. We confirm the exact spec for your car before anything is quoted or ordered.
