IPD Intake Plenum

Add Sound Symposer Delete?
A separate cosmetic/acoustic add-on that removes the factory sound symposer piping to change the intake note. It's only relevant if your car has the factory symposer system fitted, and isn't needed to get this plenum's power gains.

IPD's aluminium intake plenum reuses the Cayenne Turbo's OE 76mm throttle body while replacing the crack-prone factory plastic intake with a design that increases inlet size and intake air speed. Fabspeed measured an additional 30-plus horsepower and 32-plus ft-lbs of torque spread across the whole power curve, with sharper boost response, and the aluminium construction resists the heat soak that can dull a plastic intake's performance under sustained driving. It installs with factory hardware, doesn't require an ECU flash, and is offered with an optional Sound Symposer delete for owners who want to remove the factory induction-noise system.

Frequently asked

Which cars does the IPD Intake Plenum fit?

Fits your Cayenne Turbo / Turbo S (958 / 958.2 Turbo, 2011-2018). Fabspeed lists this piece for: Porsche Cayenne 958 / 958.2 Turbo (2011-2018). Exact fitment for your year, trim and options is confirmed on your free consult before anything is ordered.

What does the price include?

The delivered price includes the part from Fabspeed USA, freight to Australia, import costs and GST. Enter your postcode to refine delivery; the final figure is confirmed on consult.

How long until it arrives?

Every Fabspeed part is made in-house at Fabspeed USA with about a one-week production lead time, then allow another 3-4 days for delivery to Australia via UPS. That freight is already included in the price.

Will installing this trigger a check engine light or need an ECU flash?

No, IPD Plenums should never cause a check engine light or require an ECU flash if installed correctly - though a new MAF sensor or throttle body adaptation may occasionally be needed.

How do I know if my car has the Sound Imposer package?

Raise the hood and look at the front center of the engine bay - black plastic ribbed construction means non-Sound Imposer, aluminium construction means it's fitted and plugs are required.

What gains does the plenum add?

Fabspeed measured an additional 30-plus horsepower and 32-plus ft-lbs of torque across the power curve on the Cayenne Turbo.

Which option should I choose?

The Sound Symposer Delete is only relevant if your Cayenne Turbo has the factory induction-noise system - check under the hood (aluminium construction at the front-center of the engine bay means it's fitted) before adding it.

Who installs it?

Rennen Motorsport in Adelaide, or an authorised dealer near you. Fitting it yourself may also be an option depending on the part, so raise it on your consult; professional installation is quoted separately.

Is it covered by warranty?

Fabspeed products carry the manufacturer's warranty, supported locally through Rennen Plus as the Australian principal. See our returns policy.

Can I just buy this outright, or do I need to talk to someone first?

Every enquiry, whether it's one part or a full build, starts with a free consult. We confirm the exact spec for your car before anything is quoted or ordered.
