The cotton element flows nearly 40 percent more air than paper and sits inside an alloy mesh screen that holds its shape, while the the rubber frame is formed in one piece around the filter, sealing tighter and resisting cracking outer frame seals tightly against the airbox. BMC supplies the same filter media to the Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz and Audi motorsport programmes, and it's a lifetime part rather than a service item. Sold as a pair of two filters.
