Billet aluminum Cup-style airbox cover for the Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2-litre (1984-1989), CNC-machined from T6061 aluminum and gold anodized to match the factory cadmium-plated hardware. Modeled on the factory Porsche Cup Cars' airbox design, it's a direct bolt-on replacement for the restrictive factory cover, compatible with the factory paper filter, K&N or BMC upgrades. Increases airflow and induction note, with a measured gain of around 7.2hp, more with a high-flow exhaust fitted.

Frequently asked

Does the 3.2 CUP Billet Aluminum Super High Performance Airbox Cover fit my 911 G Series (3.2L)?

This listing is specific to the Porsche 911 G Series (3.2L). Exact fitment for your year, trim and options is confirmed on your free consult before anything is ordered.

What does the price include?

The delivered price includes the part from Fabspeed USA, freight to Australia, import costs and GST. Enter your postcode to refine delivery; the final figure is confirmed on consult.

How long until it arrives?

Every Fabspeed part is made in-house at Fabspeed USA with about a one-week production lead time, then allow another 3-4 days for delivery to Australia via UPS. That freight is already included in the price.

How much power does this add?

Fabspeed states a gain of over 7.2 horsepower from the cover alone, with the potential for 9 hp or more when paired with a high-flow rear exhaust.

Will it change the induction sound?

Yes, Fabspeed says the factory cover-lid is designed to muffle the flat six's induction note, and this cover lets the engine breathe more freely for a fuller induction sound.

What filters is it compatible with?

It works with the factory paper filter, popular K&N filters, and the BMC air filter upgrade.

Why is it gold colored?

The anodized gold finish is designed to match the gold-cadmium and zinc-plated OEM hardware Porsche used throughout its air-cooled engine bays.

Who installs it?

Rennen Motorsport in Adelaide, or an authorised dealer near you. Fitting it yourself may also be an option depending on the part, so raise it on your consult; professional installation is quoted separately.

Is it covered by warranty?

Fabspeed products carry the manufacturer's warranty, supported locally through Rennen Plus as the Australian principal. See our returns policy.

Can I just buy this outright, or do I need to talk to someone first?

Every enquiry, whether it's one part or a full build, starts with a free consult. We confirm the exact spec for your car before anything is quoted or ordered.
