A CNC-machined billet aluminum airbox cover for early Porsche 911 Carreras, replacing the factory intake snorkel that was designed to muffle induction sound. It bolts straight onto the existing plastic airbox plenum using the factory hardware, opening up airflow to the flat-six and bringing out more induction growl and a measurable power gain. The cover is anodized in a champagne finish to match the factory gold-cadmium hardware and is engraved with 911 RS on the face. Installation is a simple DIY job, under 10 minutes, and is fully reversible for owners who want to keep the car concours-correct. Rennen Motorsport or an authorised dealer can also fit it, for owners who'd rather not do it themselves.

Frequently asked

Which cars does the 2.7 Cup High Performance Airbox Cover fit?

Fits your Porsche 911 SC. This piece fits a wide range of models. Exact fitment for your car, year and options is confirmed on your free consult before anything is ordered.

What does the price include?

The delivered price includes the part from Fabspeed USA, freight to Australia, import costs and GST. Enter your postcode to refine delivery; the final figure is confirmed on consult.

How long until it arrives?

Every Fabspeed part is made in-house at Fabspeed USA with about a one-week production lead time, then allow another 3-4 days for delivery to Australia via UPS. That freight is already included in the price.

Will this work with my factory air filter?

Yes, it's designed to work with the factory air filter or any aftermarket filter.

Is installation reversible?

Yes, it's a simple bolt-on swap using the original wingnuts and fasteners, so the factory snorkel can go back on at any time.

What does it actually change about the sound?

The open-style design lets the flat-six breathe more freely than the restrictive factory snorkel, bringing out more induction growl.

Who installs it?

Rennen Motorsport in Adelaide, or an authorised dealer near you. Fitting it yourself may also be an option depending on the part, so raise it on your consult; professional installation is quoted separately.

Is it covered by warranty?

Fabspeed products carry the manufacturer's warranty, supported locally through Rennen Plus as the Australian principal. See our returns policy.

Can I just buy this outright, or do I need to talk to someone first?

Every enquiry, whether it's one part or a full build, starts with a free consult. We confirm the exact spec for your car before anything is quoted or ordered.
