RS-Style Shift Rod
The FDM Golden Rod is a direct upgrade for the factory 993 shift rod, aimed at owners who find the stock shifter too vague or imprecise for a manual gearbox. It replaces the floppy rubber joint at the base of the shift linkage with a firmer one, tightening up the whole gear change without touching the transmission itself. It bolts on using the existing hardware and dust boot in under an hour, at a fraction of the cost of Porsche's own RS shift rod. Fits all 993 models, including Porsche's factory designation for the all-wheel-drive Carrera 4 variant. and Turbo, plus 964 models with two-wheel drive; it does not fit the all-wheel-drive 964 C4.
