IPD's Competition Plenum and 82mm throttle body package for the 981 Boxster/Cayman, working with both the 2.7-litre Non-S and 3.4-litre S/GTS engines. A internal surface and IPD's "Y"-shaped design flow with less turbulence than the factory intake, and the aluminum build resists the heat soak a plastic plenum suffers under hard driving. Fabspeed's dyno testing shows around 14 hp and 12 lb-ft at the wheels, building from 4000 rpm to redline. About half of installs trigger a Check Engine Light from the extra airflow and need a dealer throttle body adaptation; the optional performance software addresses that directly.
