Frequently asked

Does the Sport Cat/Bypass Conversion Kit (For X-Pipe Only) fit my 911 Carrera?

This listing is specific to the Porsche 911 Carrera (993). Exact fitment for your year, trim and options is confirmed on your free consult before anything is ordered.

What does the price include?

The delivered price includes the part from Fabspeed USA, freight to Australia, import costs and GST. Enter your postcode to refine delivery; the final figure is confirmed on consult.

How long until it arrives?

Every Fabspeed part is made in-house at Fabspeed USA with about a one-week production lead time, then allow another 3-4 days for delivery to Australia via UPS. That freight is already included in the price.

Do I need an existing Fabspeed part for this to work?

Yes, this kit requires an existing Fabspeed 993 Sport Cat X-Pipe or Catbypass X-Pipe already installed.

How quickly can I switch between street and track setup?

Fabspeed says you can disconnect two clamps per side and swap in minutes, then repeat the process to switch back.

What's the difference between the two kit options?

The Sport Cat Conversion Kit includes German HJS 200-cell tri-metallic catalytic converters for emissions-legal street use; the Catbypass Conversion Kit uses straight pipes for maximum power and sound at track events.

Which option should I choose?

Choose the Sport Cat Conversion Kit if you want to stay emissions-legal for street driving with HJS high-flow catalysts fitted, or the Catbypass Conversion Kit for maximum power and sound at track events. Since both kits bolt to the same existing Fabspeed X-pipe, you can also buy both and swap between them as needed.

Who installs it?

Rennen Motorsport in Adelaide, or an authorised dealer near you. Fitting it yourself may also be an option depending on the part, so raise it on your consult; professional installation is quoted separately.

Is it covered by warranty?

Fabspeed products carry the manufacturer's warranty, supported locally through Rennen Plus as the Australian principal. See our returns policy.

Can I just buy this outright, or do I need to talk to someone first?

Every enquiry, whether it's one part or a full build, starts with a free consult. We confirm the exact spec for your car before anything is quoted or ordered.
