IPD Intake Plenum & Y-Pipe
IPD's intake plenum and Y-pipe for the Porsche 997 Turbo (2006-2009), sold as the combined package, the plenum alone, or the Y-pipe alone. The 74mm plenum uses the factory throttle body and suits stock-to-mildly-modified cars, while the larger 82mm Competition plenum (built around a separate 997 GT3 throttle body) is aimed at cars pushing further into the modified range; both use IPD's cast-aluminium 'Y' design to reduce turbulence and heat soak versus the factory plastic unit. The Y-pipe is a from-scratch redesign rather than a copy of the factory part, flowing a claimed 126 cfm more with larger inlets and an optimised diversion area, without a loss in boost response. Both parts bolt in directly with no fabrication, and custom powder coat, ceramic coating, or polished finishes can be special-ordered on the Y-pipe.
