GiroDisc's two-piece rotors are a direct, no-modification replacement for the Ferrari 488's factory discs. The hat is machined from US-sourced 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminium, and the disc itself is proprietary cast iron poured and finished in-house at GiroDisc, with a curved vane design that pumps cooling air through the rotor as it spins. A floating pin mount lets the disc expand with heat independently of the hat, eliminating the rattle that plagues cheaper floating rotors while self-centring the disc between the pads. Once installed, only the cast iron disc needs replacing when it eventually wears.

What happens when the rotor eventually wears out?

Because it's a two-piece design, only the cast iron disc needs replacing - the aluminium hat is reused, and Fabspeed sells replacement discs.

I currently have carbon ceramic brakes - can I switch?

Yes, but Fabspeed strongly recommends replacing all four rotors together to maintain the factory brake bias and controlled braking in all conditions.

Who installs it?

Rennen Motorsport in Adelaide, or an authorised dealer near you. Fitting it yourself may also be an option depending on the part, so raise it on your consult; professional installation is quoted separately.
