Macan 95B.2 2.9L V6 2019–present
Fabspeed and TechArt both have something for the Porsche Macan 2.9L V6 (95B.2), 2019–present, and it is gathered here.
We have put some of it into a package up top, and the complete range follows below, where Fabspeed parts are close to ready to order, and TechArt is quoted on a consult.
There is always someone on the team to put together something specific, and no question is too small, so send us a note , ask our assistant or scroll to the packages to get started.
A V6 slotted in above the four-cylinders The 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 shares its basic architecture with the six-cylinder engines used across the Cayenne and Panamera range, giving this Macan a genuine six rather than a boosted four. Porsche calls it the highest-performing V6 it builds, with both turbochargers mounted inside the vee of the engine to shorten the exhaust paths. The same basic architecture also underpins the twin-turbo V6 fitted to Audi's B9-generation RS4 and RS5.
Smaller than the old V6 but stronger everywhere When this 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 replaced the previous 3.6-litre unit in the range-topping Macans, Porsche cut displacement by 0.7 litres yet raised peak output at the same time. Specific output rose from 111 to 152 horsepower per litre, a 37 per cent jump that came from integrated exhaust manifolds and a more central turbo layout. It was one of the clearest signs of how far turbocharging had let Porsche shrink an engine without giving up performance.
A sportier gearbox than its bigger sibling Every Macan, including this V6, was built exclusively with a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox rather than the Cayenne's eight-speed torque-converter Tiptronic automatic. Porsche never offered a torque-converter option on the Macan at any point in its life, a deliberate choice to keep gear changes quicker than a conventional automatic can manage. It is a small but genuine mechanical difference between two SUVs that otherwise share so much underneath.
Macan 2.9L V6 Performance Options The 2.9L twin-turbo V6 in the late Macan GTS and Turbo is the strongest engine the platform ever got, and the most strangled by its factory cats. Fabspeed's sport cats free up the exhaust path where it matters most on a turbocharged engine, ahead of everything else in the system.
