Fabspeed's Muffler Bypass Exhaust System replaces the heavy, log-shaped factory muffler on the M240i, saving 11 lbs (5kg) and letting the B58 engine's voice through. Expect a throaty growl under acceleration with more pops and crackles, and no interior An unwanted droning resonance at certain highway rpm, where exhaust pulses match the cabin's natural frequency.. It doesn't interfere with any emissions equipment and won't trigger a check engine light. Built from CNC Bent over an internal mandrel so the tube keeps a constant diameter through the bend, unlike crush-bending. T304L stainless steel with an investment-cast Y-pipe, it includes your choice of tip finish. Installation means cutting the factory exhaust at a marked dimple location, and the factory muffler can be reinstalled afterward if needed.
