Fabspeed's K27 Turbocharger Upgrade is a direct replacement for the factory LDZ turbo on the Porsche 911 Turbo 930 (1976-1989), built for more power and a quicker spool. On Fabspeed's stock 1986 911 Turbo, peak output was 251hp and 280 ft-lbs of torque; fitted with the K27 at 1 bar, that rose to 315hp and 358 ft-lbs, with over 300 ft-lbs available from 3800rpm. It uses a twin-scroll turbine housing for a quicker response than the factory single-outlet design, with a 2.75-inch intake and inlet and a 6-bolt T3 downpipe flange. Fitting it requires modifying the factory turbo support bracket, or buying Fabspeed's conversion bracket, plus a turbo pressure pipe adapter kit unless you're also running Fabspeed's intercooler.

Frequently asked

Does the K27 Turbocharger Upgrade fit my 911 Turbo (930)?

This listing is specific to the Porsche 911 Turbo (930). Exact fitment for your year, trim and options is confirmed on your free consult before anything is ordered.

What does the price include?

The delivered price includes the part from Fabspeed USA, freight to Australia, import costs and GST. Enter your postcode to refine delivery; the final figure is confirmed on consult.

How long until it arrives?

Every Fabspeed part is made in-house at Fabspeed USA with about a one-week production lead time, then allow another 3-4 days for delivery to Australia via UPS. That freight is already included in the price.

How much more power does the K27 turbo make over stock?

On Fabspeed's test car, a stock 1986 911 Turbo made 251hp and 280 ft-lbs; with the K27 at 1 bar, that rose to 315hp and 358 ft-lbs, with over 300 ft-lbs available from 3800rpm.

What else do I need to install this?

The factory turbo support bracket needs modifying, or you can buy Fabspeed's conversion bracket, plus a turbo pressure pipe adapter kit, unless you're also fitting Fabspeed's intercooler, which doesn't need it.

What kind of turbine housing does it use?

A twin-scroll turbine housing, which responds quicker than the factory single-outlet design.

Who installs it?

Rennen Motorsport in Adelaide, or an authorised dealer near you. Fitting it yourself may also be an option depending on the part, so raise it on your consult; professional installation is quoted separately.

Is it covered by warranty?

Fabspeed products carry the manufacturer's warranty, supported locally through Rennen Plus as the Australian principal. See our returns policy.

Can I just buy this outright, or do I need to talk to someone first?

Every enquiry, whether it's one part or a full build, starts with a free consult. We confirm the exact spec for your car before anything is quoted or ordered.
